Why should I become a HER LAW member?
Simply because you get legal peace of mind, knowing that there are lawyers looking after you 24/7 – which leaves you with more time to impress your boss, spend time with your kids and make your partner breakfast in bed.

How much does it cost?
For R60 per month you are covered. This means that you only pay this one amount to access our team of in-house lawyers any time day or night. No claim forms, no fuss. Remember, we don’t only give advice, we do representations and the works.

What must I do to become a member?
Easy as pie. Click on Join Now and fill in the form. A Contact Centre consultant will then phone you and you will be able to join telephonically. Or you can phone the Contact Centre directly at 0861994499.

Where do I find HER LAW?
HER LAW has offices nationwide. We also have a dedicated 24 hour emergency line. Please see the contact us page for more information.

Does my family get covered too?
We cover all your children under the age of 21 for all matters that you are covered for, but unfortunately we do not cover your partner.

What legal benefits are included under the HER LAW membership?
There are three legal benefits. Firstly you have the Basic Benefit, which you can rely on as of the second you join. This benefit is limited to advice only, but open to all legal matters. The Mediation Benefit entitles you to free informal mediation and assistance within the country for the full term of membership on any private legal matter that arose after the commencement date.

The Litigation Benefit provides cover when a member is involved in any court proceeding or other forum, whether of a criminal, civil or labour nature, and physical representation is required. This also includes any legal assistance that, due to the nature thereof, can’t be solved by way of informal mediation. The Litigation Benefit entitles the member to free representation in respect of all like matters, which are not excluded by the provisions of the membership.

What is mediation?
Mediation is an exciting development in the legal word. Mediation is a process whereby we resolve your legal disputes and matters in such a manner that the case does not have to end in court. Mediation proves very sucessful for all civil cases. We resolve more than 80% of our cases by way of mediation.
