Sued for defamation of character

I was sued for the amount of R100 000-00 for defamation of character, because I had a fight with my neighbour in the local supermarket and allegedly called him a lying thief. HER LAW's panel of attorneys defended the matter.The neighbour withdrew the matter and wanted to settle on the basis that they would each pay it’s own legal costs. We proceeded to argue costs in court and the court granted the cost order.
Gym refund of R7 000

I entered into a written agreement with a gym for a three-year period and understood incorrectly that the money would be deducted from my credit card in monthly installments. However, the next day I discovered that the total amount of R7 500-00 was deducted once off from my credit card – as per the written agreement.
When my husband found out, he was furious. HER LAW explained that I indeed signed the contract and that the gym acted in terms of the contract to me, but that HER LAW would try and mediate the cancellation of the contract. After the mediation, the gym agreed to refund me R7 000-00. The other R500-00 was kept because of administration as well as a cancellation fee.

I was married at a very young age and was not aware that I may deny my husband sex. I thought it was my duty as wife. When I contacted HER LAW, I was distraught as my husband broke down the bathroom door the previous night to get to me and he raped me continually. I contacted HER LAW initially to find out about divorce proceedings.

I was a manager at an insurance company until I was demoted to being a receptionist during January, after I went awol for two days during December and another day during January. HER LAW contacted my employer, Mrs E, and advised her that, since there was no disciplinary hearing held against me, the demotion is illegal and they are to reinstate me to the previous position. I have been re-instated to my position of manager.

HER LAW contacted my employer and negotiated a settlement agreement with them after HER LAW discovered that they were not in the financial position to further employ me. I received an amount of R28 500-00 as settlement.

An interim maintenance order was granted against my husband, *John for a certain amount. John failed to pay maintenance. Several warrant s of arrests were issued but were never executed. HER LAW tried to ask the Maintenance prosecutor for assistance. He never assisted HER LAW and they had the feeling that the Prosecutor was taking sides with John. HER LAW logged a complaint against the prosecutor. An order for the amount was granted against John’s salary.
